WAH NAILS - Spring Summer 2011

Just saw this posted up on Wah Nails...making me yearn for a tropical holiday (and a manicure).

Boxing Kitten Spring/Summer 2011

Boxing Kitten is a vibrant label which desribes it's style as 'ethnic rockabilly'. Their Spring 2011 collection look book looking good...

Style as a Child

Proof my style hasn't changed much (I'm in the middle)...

Christopher Kane Galaxy Collection

According to astrologists, the Galaxy Print Jersey Dress and the Pink Silk Satin and Leather Dress are the Pleiades, an open star cluster. In Greek mythology, the seven sisters were daughters of a sea nymph and the titan Atlas. Orion wanted to marry all of them, and so Zeus turned them into stars in the sky. The nebula for the dress print is 24 light years across.

Muppets X Coolio

This is single handedly my favourite thing on the internet. As someone has commented on YouTube: 'This is the greatest thing I have ever seen. I fear I will be unable to ever experience any sort of pleasure ever again as all of life's experiences will seem underwhelming and inconsequential in relation to the 1 minute and 39 seconds I spent watching this video.'

It's my happy place. Enjoy.

Missoni Spring Campaign

LOVE the colour and pattern in this Missoni Spring 2011 advert.

Had a brilliant night out last night with my twin, Hak from Mullet Mag, Louisa from Shop Dutty, Amy from Good Stuff, Kasha from Trap and more at a 90s RnB and hip hop party called 'SO BONES'. RnB and hip hop is my favourite thing to hear out - hoping this night is a regular thing. Keep it 90s yo!

Many people miss out Australia on the fashion map, but some of the most innovative new labels are coming from down under.

Here are some of my favourites:

Being a twin (whether I'm the evil one or not is under debate) I'd love to own a piece of this! Evil Twin was created by Jodie McKenzie who discovered her love of fashion as a child when she rebelled against her parents dressing her the same as her twin sister (I hear you Jodie!) and started dressing herself. Inspired by punk and 80s vintage the label specialises in bold prints and edgy glitz.

Something Else specialises in dreamy kaleidoscopic prints, patterned leggings and detailing such as exposed zippers and mesh panels. The ethos behind the label is to blend fashion and art to create wearable yet directional fashion. Their amazing picture heavy blog reveals their inpirations - bright patterns and otherworldly landscapes.

This is by far the jazziest swimwear label I've come accross. We Are Handsome use iconic prints to create amazing swimwear pieces which are functional enough to also wear as a top. Roaring lions, flamingos, sportscars and 80s photos all grace the range of bikinis and swimsuits and have been worn by the likes of Rihanna. AMAZING!

Fred Butler 2011 Photo

I love reading the blog of jazzy accessory maker extraordinaire, Fred Butler as she shares my love of colour and sparkle. Each New Years for the past three years she has shot a photo to mark the new year, styled in her trademark kaleidescope style.

This years photo the 2011 comes as a sequined afro comb. Brilliant! Such a great photo. See the previous years photos here. And if you're a lover of colour, check out her blog.

New Years was amazing - Ghettospheric and Fallin Up at the Bank; glittery palm trees, sequins, power suits and fake tans.
